Industrial
Strength Titanium Wedding Rings
Heard of Titanium jewelry before? You will, it's one of the fastest growing segments in the jewelry industry today. There are several reasons for that. Titanium rings are harder and more scratch resistant than their gold and platinum counterparts which makes it ideal for everyday use, but it's not Titanium by itself that is tough, it has to be alloyed with other metals. Titanium is not considered precious metal like gold and platinum and therefore it is a lot cheaper and since Titanium is an inert metal it is also ideal for people with sensitive skin who would otherwise break out from gold jewelry.

Tungsten Carbide Wedding Rings
Tungsten Carbide wedding rings are a relative newcomer onto the
scene. Tungsten when combined
with carbon creates an alloy called tungsten carbide which is 4 times
harder than titanium, twice as hard as steel and almost impossible to
scratch. Make sure when you are shopping for tungsten carbide that
a nickel-binder was used in the process and not cobalt. Cobalt is
cheaper to use, but bonds with oils in the skin and creates oxidation
that cannot be polished out. Nickel is inert so you don't get that
oxidation.
